Overview: The presentation will benefit anyone who works with high-net worth clients, handles their trust and estate matters, and/or has clients that are building or deacquisitioning a collection. The topic will explore an overview of auction houses; how auction houses, museums, dealers and appraisers determine value; and how an auction house can help in an estate or downsizing situation.
Bio: Kristin Vaughn began her career in the art world as a marketing director with an international fine art fair firm. Marketing museum-quality exhibitions in Palm Beach, Miami, and London to collectors, dealers, and press led to her current position in business development with the fine art auction house, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. In January 2010, she opened the Chicago based company’s first regional office in Naples, Florida. Her primary function with the firm is to introduce auction and appraisal services to trust and estate bankers and attorneys, private clients, and museums throughout Florida and the Southern Region.
